Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Acro/Inverts Skills and Drills – Acroyoga and Inverts. Learn the skills you need to become proficient at both and practice the drills to get you strong and stable enough, to really have fun with this challenging discipline.

AmazeBalls – Roll and Release. Using Yoga Tune Up Balls, expect to increase range of movement, mobility and flexibility as fascial tissue is stimulated, hydrated and released. Reduce pain, rehabilitate from injury, down regulate and calm the mind in this profound class.

Bodyblitz – High intensity cardio meets, strength intervals, conditioning and stretch. Develop motor skills, coordination, cardiovascular fitness and strength in this, high Intensity, great all-rounder class.

Bodyshock – High Intensity Interval Training at its finest. Focus may be strength, or cardio. Short bursts of FULL THROTTLE work, followed by short, active recovery periods. Stimulate your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems, burn fat and develop lean muscle mass!

Boxing – Rip your core, shred your upper body and smash out some cardio, whilst working out some frustrations! Using boxing gloves and focus pads, you will learn to punch like a real boxer. Authentic fighting, with upper body strikes from Boxing, Thai Boxing, and Karate and offering intervals, power, speed and agility training.

Box/Body/Weight – Boxing meets Body Weight And Functional Weight Training.

Core/Flex – 25 minutes of global core strength and stability training, embracing principles from Pilates, functional movement, Yoga and Barre; followed by 20 minutes of stretchy goodness.

Club Style – Funk, hip hop, contemporary, Latin, good old fashion aerobics…..in a fantastic dance based fusion. Loads of fun…the minutes will whiz by!

Define – Functional strength, Global Core, Posture and Pelvic Stability are the focus of this cardio free class. Learn to Lift like a boss and look like a beauty, while stabilising your body’s powerhouse!

Flight – Core’s unique blend of aerial yoga, suspension training and anti-gravity work. Yoga on another planet! Get off the ground and develop, grace, flexibility, and strength in this aerial class. Amazing for back health, Core Strength and Pelvic Stability and a huge amount of fun! 

Hatha Yoga –. Put length and ease back into your muscles and connective tissue, while stabilising your joints. A calmer paced Yoga class, designed to leave your muscles longer and your nervous system settled. A relaxed and delicious flexibility and mobility class, suitable for everyone from beginner to seasoned stretchers!

Kid’s Fit – Dance, balance, yoga, tumbles, swings, obstacle courses, coordination, mindfulness, concentration and more, in this super fun fitness class for under 11 years old.

Loaded – Metabolic, mobility and flexibility training, meets functional movement patterns. Squat, hinge, push, pull, press, lunge, twist, walk, crawl….work everything from your toes to your nose and improve your performance across the board and enhance your quality of life!

MMA – Bring out your inner warrior with our Extreme Mixed Martial Arts program. Combining HIIT, kicks and punches from a variety of Martial Arts Disciplines as well as strength, conditioning and coordination. Set to inspirational music, this class is a must for high intensity lovers.

Power Pilates – Cardio Pilates + Barre + Mat Pilates = A full body sweat fest.

Strong Yoga – Vinyasa Style Yoga. This class will challenge your Core, Butt, Legs and Upper Body. You will sweat, breathe heavy, strengthen and stabilise your whole body, whilst encouraging a bit of Zen into your World.

What the Funk? – A tad of Club, a splash of Blitz, a little 80’s Aerobics…..shake them all up and What the Funk?! High Intensity, fast, fun, furious and fabulous!

Work It– Endurance training! A circuit style class that is all about Stamina. Develop cardiovascular and muscular endurance as well as mental strength. May include weights, mini tramps, bars, resistance bands and body weight training.

Work It-Muscle – Develop Muscular Endurance in this challenging circuit style strength Class.

Yin Swing– Utilising the principles of ease, time and the use of props from Yin Yoga, and the anti-gravity, suspension and decompression benefits of our Flight swings. Down regulate your nervous system, put length and ease into your soft tissue, ground yourself and find inner calm in this delightful passive release class

Long held poses, props and ease, help to settle the nervous system and move you from fight/flight to rest/digest. Pole Fitness Skill Levels Explained

Based on the Chakra System of the human body, we believe our Pole Skills Levels System, reflects the colours, crystals, elements and emotions attached to each Chakra and aligns well with the various achievement levels that we offer at Core Principles Pole Studio.

Ruby – A Pole Basics class. Colour Red. Element; Earth. Emotion; Sexuality – In Ruby you will learn the ground work required to become proficient in Pole Fitness. Basic lifts, spins and poses will be taught at this level.

Amber – Beginners. Colour Orange. Element; Water. Emotion; Trust – In Amber, you will learn to flow on the pole and trust in your ability to get off of the ground and string moves together with grace and poise. Beginner mounts, poses, spins and lifts will be taught at this level.

Topaz – Intermediate 1 – Colour Yellow. Element; Fire. Emotion; Willpower – In Topaz you will start to be challenged to a greater level. Spins, mounts, poses and holds will become more challenging and a greater level of strength and flexibility will be required.

Emerald – Intermediate 2 – Colour Green. Element; Air. Emotion; Love – In Emerald you will learn to fly, with a multitude of lifts, holds, mounts and spins put together in an amazing routine. It is here that you will really fall in love with Pole Fitness.

Sapphire – Intermediate 3 – Colour Blue. Element; Ether. Emotion; Expression of All Emotions – In Sapphire you will learn how to express your artistic side and develop your own pole personality. Lifts, mounts, holds, spins and connecting moves will be at the next level.

Amethyst – Intermediate 4 – Colour Indigo. Element; Thought. Emotion; Clarity. At Amethyst, a new challenge exists. Here you will develop an appreciation of how the various moves you have been taught up until now can be put together in creative and provocative ways….and of course the tricks get bigger here!

Diamond – Prep Advanced – Colour Violet. Element; Light. Emotion; Compassion – Diamond is the pinnacle of our Tuition at Core Principles. Here you will polish your skills, further develop your repertoire of moves and really arrive as a Pole Dancer!

Mixed Pole– All levels from Ruby to Emerald. The mixed class style, inspires beginners, ensures more advanced students stay on top of their basic skills and allows people to move from level to level at their own speed and according to their developing skillset.
